Description1. Anthony Hoyland of Harley (Yks.), yeoman and Elen Hoyland of Wath, widow (? of William Hoyland).
2. Lawrence Wade of West Melton, yeoman.
- in contemplation of a marriage between 1b and 2 and in consideration of a rent of £3 p.a. granted by 2 out of lands in Bolton-on-Dearne and Brampton Bierlow, for the use of 1b.
= of a messuage in Wath, now inhabited by 1b. with all outhouses, lands etc.
- to be held by 2, until George Hoyland, son of William Hoyland decd., shall come of age (if 1b shall so long live), George Hoyland to pay £3 p.a. thereafter to 2, so long as 1b. shall live.
- covenant by 2 that as soon as the marriage shall take place, he will put George Hoyland into the Grammar School at Wath, maintain him there for 2 years and then apprentice him to some suitable trade.
