DescriptionIncludes an annotated map showing the lines of advance north of the Somme from 1 July to 30 November 1916 (n.d.), a copy of a hand drawn map of the trench where men from the City Battalion (12th Service Battalion) of the York and Lancaster Regiment on 1 July l916 (n.d.) and a copy of a map of the Passchendaele Offensive, showing the light railway system constructed by men of the 7th Battalion York and Lancaster Regiment (n.d.), together with further maps of France, reproduced from the Western Front Association and by permission of the War Office (n.d.).

This material was found with OS maps of Aston-cum-Aughton, Dalton, Dinnington, Tinsley Park, Thurcroft and Wickersley kept by Sheffield Ramblers' Association (1930-1948).
