DescriptionThe 2nd Battalion is at Tondebhavi, India, carrying out training. A parade is held for the farewell address given by C.O. Lt. Col. C.T.W. Hill prior to his reposting and Lt. Col. P.H. Graves Morris resumes temporary command. Movements to Bangalore, Harpalpur, Jhansi and Gulganj Camp. The Long Range Penetration training programme commences, with thirty-eight members of the Royal Engineers and sixty members of Royal Artillery attached to the battalion for L.R.P. training. Twenty-four members of the Battalion are repatriated on the grounds of long service abroad and one hundred and nineteen Other Ranks arrive from the U.K. The Battalion moves to a new jungle camp near Rajgarh.
