| Description | The 2nd Battalion is at Fort William, Calcutta, India, carrying out patrols due to civil disturbances. Maj. A.W. Stansfeld leaves to meet Lt. Col. N.S. Sykes at Howrah, Maj. Livermore assumes command. Battalion is stood down and assumes normal internal security role. Inspection by Brig. Sixsmith, Commander of 73 Brigade.
