NotesNorth door of the parish church is shown on the 1774 map of Rotherham and probably dates from the rebuilding of the nave in the late 14th century. It does not appear to have ever been used as a general public entrance. Its purpose was probably to give easy access from the church to the northern section of of the churchyard.
Rotherham parish church housed the Mansel Library c.1728-1893.
