| Description | Addressed to Mr Allison from H.E.Baker, this letter discusses that an Inman who kept the Monad Hotel held a couple of engravings of The Holmes which he was not able to purchase, and that upon hearing this man was now running a hotel between Brecks and Whiston he went out in the hopes of borrowing one for the purpose of copying it. Mr Baker requests of Mr Allison whether he could borrow a copy of an item one of Mr Allison's colleagues held that shows blast furnaces and goes on to confirm that he has now received photo copies of correspondence between Boulton & watt and Sam Walker in 1781 to 1782 along with drawings of the Blowing Engines of 1782 and 1804 and that he would be happy to make them available should Mr Allison or his friends wish to peruse them. |
