| Description | - all his personal estate to his executors, Rev. Thomas Trebeck of Wath, Rev. John Lowe of Wentworth, John Birks of Hemingfield, gent. and Thomas Briggs of Brampton Bierlow, gent. upon trusts, viz;
- to permit his wife to enjoy such portion as she shall choose for her life and to sell the same after her death;
- the remainder to be sold, the money to be lent on mortgage and the income paid to his wife for life;
- at her decease to pay £400 to the trustees for the town school of Holbeck (WYK) for the instruction of poor children and a further £100 to be invested as a dole for poor widows and poor families of Holbeck;
- £200 to be paid to the trustees for the town school of Kexborough for the instruction of poor children and £50 to establish a dole for poor widows and families;
- £300 to be paid to the trustees of the Ellis's Charity to be used for the instruction of poor children in the charity school of Brampton with £50 to establish a dole for poor widows and families.
