Includes records of the 1st (Hallamshire) Volunteer Battalion (1881-1908), the 4th (Hallamshire) Battalion (1908-1924), and after a name change in 1924, the Hallamshire Battalion. Also, records relating to the Yorkshire Volunteers, the successor of the Hallamshire Battalion (T.A.) from 1967.
