Description | Digital typescript of an orderly book and journal kept by Captain Charles Marsh of the 84th (York and Lancaster) Regiment of Foot in Bengal, India in 1763. Includes a roll call of officers and men who served and died from 1763 to 1764, and then a daily report on the activities and movements of the regiment from 26 June 1763 to 29 July 1764, and a note written in a different hand dated 22 March 1764 when the detachment arrived back at Falmouth. This transcription was made from the original document, which is held at the British Library by Malcolm Lamb in 2022.
