Joseph Hampton, checkweighman (Appellant) V. West Cannock Colliery Company (Respondents)
Case: A case was brought before Rugeley Petty Session where Joseph Hampton was accused by the colliery of interfering with the management of the mine and should be removed from his office of checkweighman. The justices at the Rugeley Petty Session ruled in favour of the Colliery and ordered Joseph Hampton to be dismissed. The High Court has been asked to decide whether their judgement was correct
