George Wilton Chambers. - Reciting 170/B/1/1-2 above - Sellars and Co. agree to carry down a railway from their colliery on Earl Fitzwilliam's land to a coal staith to be erected on Horse Croft and to deliver there to Chambers such Park Gate coal as he shall require at a price of 5s. 7d. per ton of soft coal and 6s. 8d. per ton of hard coal - Sellars and Co. undertake nor to deliver any coal from the colliery to any person carrying on any works in Rotherham or Kimberworth south of a line from the said staithe to Jordan Dam - The agreement to be terminable upon 3 months notice from Sellars and Co. in which case Sellars and Co. would be liable to pay 6d. per ton for all coal and 2d. per ton for all slack carried on the said railway until 29th September, 1858 or until Chambers should cease to work his colliery Dated 27th September, 1853 |
