The 2nd Battalion, organised as 65 Column and 84 Column, crosses the Meza River in Burma to carry out Long Range Penetration operations against the Japanese. 84 Column cover the evacuation of White City after a dive bomb attack. Several movements occur before arrival at concentration area at Maingthaingyi and then Namoon. 84 Column aid relief of Blackpool, then move to Kyusanlai Pass. 65 Column proceed to Lonton, then to Japanese barracks at Namnoun, and to Mamonkai where they are joined by 84 Column.
