DescriptionHallamshire Battalion occupying Germany. Battalion at Bottrop undertaking routine patrols and house checks. Battalion watch Wolverhampton F.C. play the Combined Services team at Dusseldorf. Centralised Training Programme issued. Many Officers join the Battalion as others leave. Three members of the Battalion attend war crimes trial at Recklinghausen. His Majesty King Geroge VI approved that Maj. G.B. Grey, Maj. W.B. Eade, Lt. W. Gallagher, Lt. J.H. Kempo, C.S.M. V.J. Simpkins, Sgt. H. Naylor, Sgt. H. Furness, Pte. C. Cork and Pte. S. Bond be mentioned in recognition of gallant services in N.W. Europe.
