DescriptionCorrespondence and report re subsidence claim by The Railway Inn, Beighton. The Railway Inn was rebuilt in 1910 and was raised and supported to ensure it would not be flooded with water. Since then The Sheffield Coal Company had been working on the Parkgate Seam of coal underneath the Inn and the has caused the support to be withdrawn. The building had become damaged and cracked and on several occasions had been flooded with water. (inlcude photographs of the flooded inn)
