Includes copy will of John Foster of Ravenfield (1648/9) & articles of covenant between Mary Foster of Ravenfield widow & Thomas Foster of Ravenfield, husbandman, her son in which for £15 & ' to haue her table & dyate with..the sd Thomas Foster dureinge her naturall Life' she conveys half the goods & chattels left by John Foster, except household goods in the dwelling-house, & for £7 p.a. rent her farm in Ravenfield 'Except the Kichinge & kichinge Chamber adioyneinge unto the sd house' & half of all fruit & hops in the orchard & gardens. Thomas Foster 'shall keepe att his table & dyate John Foster sonn of Richard Foster with sufficient meate drinke washinge Lodginge & apparill & keepe the sd John Foster att skoole untill he Cann reade the Byble in the English tongue & pay for his Learneinge' (1657).
