Description | One of only three Rockingham pattern books known to have survived, containing hand-painted designs for tea and dessert wares (mostly cups, saucers and plates), some of which have named artists and include instructions like 'flowers by girls', which refers to the work of the anonymous female painters. The designs featured are in the pattern ranges 450-496 and 593-995.
The original book is on restricted access for conservation reasons. Digitised copy available to view in the Search Room. |
