Oct 1917 movements through France to Belgium via Salperwick, Nieppe, Watou and Vlameringhe; reconnoitred Passchendaele before moving to assembly positions to the southwest prior to the attack (diary includes casualty list). Battalion relieved by a New Zealand Battalion; moved to Winnezeele, France, to rest and recuperate.
