DescriptionHallamshire Battalion moved to Mill en route to Nijmegan, Holland; considerable flooding of areas reported. Battalion in training at Nijmegan; D Company reformed under Capt. C.A. McKillop from reinforcements sent from 50th Division. Battalion in positions at Bemmel; patrols carried out. Eleven of the enemy approached under a white flag to collect their dead but their story was not believed and so the party was captured and taken to the rear lines for interrogation.
