DescriptionHallamshire Battalion in Holland in training for Operation Destroyer. Passed through Haalderen to clear Neder Rijn; moved via Zand; Battalion to clear Elden; halted by Germans at Eronenburg; patrol led by Lt. Edgson crossed the Neder Rijn; Battalion relieved by B Sqn. Recce Regt. and moved to Oosterhout to prepare for Operation Anger, the storming of Arnhem. Battalion took part in Operation Anger; fought through Arnhem into De Steegh and onto Dieren; moved into wrecked barracks in Arnhem following the attack; moved to Wolfheze; took part in training for operation to clear Western Hollland; operation cancelled due to enemy threat to flood the area; report from a member of the patrol captured at De Hoeven Farm.
